a. How do countries prepare for extreme climate/weather?

- walls, sand bags, levy, pillars, storm shelters
b. Biomes (savanna, grassland, tundra, etc)
- Marine, Freshwater, Tiaga, Tundra, Temperate, Mediterranean, Desert, Tropical
c. How does latitude relate to climate?
- places located at high latitudes (far from the equator) receive less sunlight than places at low latitudes (close to the equator)
d. How does locations (near oceans) and wind affect climate?
- as air and water currents move from one area to the other, they affect the general climate of the area they are moving into.
e. How does physical features (mountains) affect climate?
- if you live near a mountain, one side receives a lot of precipitation as the water from the ocean evaporates into clouds. As that evaporation moves up over the mountains temperatures get colder ultimately giving that side rain, the other side of the mountain gets dry, warm air.
f. Where does weather vary the most?
- the temperature varies in the far part of the equator because that is where the most temperature change is. The amount of sunlight affects the weather so since there isn't much the weather would be different and would vary the most.
