The axes were round in shape to make it easier to use. The blade knives were used to cut open their food after they were done hunting with arrowheads that they would attach to long sticks to use for spears.

Homo sapiens carved flint with smooth rocks to make flakes and blades. The flint was much sharper than the stone which made it easier to hunt and carve.

In conclusion I found out that early hominids, like Homo halibis, and homo sapiens are much alike in the ways they made and used their tools. Although they are similar with using stone tools, homo sapiens evolved and began carving flint for an easier hunt.
