Hitler's mom had died of cancer when Hitler was only 17, leaving him with only his father. Then once Hitler had lived in Vienna he had started his hate towards jews. During this time Vienna's population was 10% Jewish. Due to the high population of Jews, there had been many anti-Semitics including the city’s popular mayor, Luege. Luege had basically ran his campaign on anti-Semitism. And once Hitler had seen the success of the anti-Semitism and the wide range of racist and anti-semitic literature around the city, it had started a spark. These pieces of literature around the city may have also inspired him of reasons to hate the Jews. Although he had a hatred towards Jews, he had still sold/attempted almost all his paintings which shows he has not devoted his life to anti-semitism yet. Once WW1 had came around he had served in the German army despite being a citizen Austria. After his four years he had been promoted to a corporal. But he was deeply disturbed after the loss in 1918 causing even more hatred in his blood

https://history.as.uky.edu/hitler-essential-background-information

Adolf Hitler's rise to power started with he joined the German Worker's Party in Munich as an army political agent in September 1919. He was put in charge of the party's propaganda. The party was later renamed to become the infamous Nazi party. The conditions in Germany were perfect for the development of the party, with lots of discontent in the country mainly caused by the loss of WWI and it's effects. Hitler used master manipulation tactics to work his way up the ranks of the party. His ambition caused other party members to attempt to suppress him, but his influence and power in the party was too important due to his ability to gain publicity and funds. In July, 1921, Hitler became the leader of the Nazi party, gaining a nearly limitless amount of power.
https://www.britannica.com/biography/Adolf-Hitler/Rise-to-power

Taking Over

In November, 1923, Hitler and General Erich Ludendorff led a revolt against the government. He was placed on trial for treason and served 5 years in prison. He used the situation to gain publicity and wrote his autobiography, "Mein Kampf," while in prison. He pushed racial inequality and the superiority of the Aryan race. He also spread the idea that the Jew was the incarnation of evil and the nation's "parasite". After he was released, he regained his position in the party. His greatest opportunity, however, came with the depression in 1929, which caused a period of political instability. He utilized this time to extensively spread propaganda and gain the support of Germany by reassuring an awakening for the country. This and the government's failure to solve the country's problems led to a hugely increasing support for the Nazi party. In 1932, Hitler opposed Hindenburg in the election and captured over 33% of the ballots. On January 30th, 1933, Hitler took the position of chancellor of Germany.

https://www.britannica.com/biography/Adolf-Hitler/Rise-to-power
