Jacob was alone and wrestled with a stranger, said to be angel, who blessed Jacob for having fought with an angel and having won that fight. He was given a new name, and that new name was Israel. Jacob bowed to Esau, and they wept together and then Jacob had his family come and bow down to Esau in order of favoritism.
