It's difficult to edit a poster once students use a permanent marker or glue. Students get caught up in "perfecting" the final poster as they go rather than embracing the creative process which may involve revision.

It's not really equivalent to a poster though because it is very small and everyone is adding to it. I think it is more equivalent to a sticky note.

Difficult to get materials, space to store posters, student's hand writing can be sloppy.

Padlets allows students to easily access tools which might be more difficult to obtain making a poster.

It takes a long time to schedule presentations, and it's hard to keep all the students engaged, even in you have them using a rubric to score each other.

Using technology versus "old school" allows ALL students to have a fair shot. Many families lack money to purchase the resources for posters, markers, printers and color ink to produce posters and presentations.
