During the two-day induction in the first week, it is essential that tutors and trainers familiarise themselves with their learners, including their academic abilities and soft skills at the outset.

Using the pre-selected rubric comments, choose the one that most accurately reflects each learner’s individual starting point.

By analysing the results, tutors can identify strengths, pinpoint areas for development, and ensure that learners are placed at an appropriate level. Establishing an accurate starting point not only helps track progress over time but also ensures that learners receive the appropriate support needed to succeed in both their academic development and wider programme outcomes.
