1)Ukraine has been wanting to join Nato but Russia will not allow Nato to expand eastwards to Ukraine. Russia has also committed hundreds of war crimes in Ukraine.
2) Russia is put on heavy sanctions by Nato. This could affect their economy by a lot.

1. Russia's economy is rapidly going down, as well as the currency losing its value, because of the invasion in Ukraine.
2. A solution that I would propose would be to withdraw from the invasion, as it will cause a war and Russia will lose most of their connections and economy because of it.
3. Actions that could be taken are spreading awareness of the situation, because people could have invested in Russia and its businesses, and it can affect you and your stock as well.
4. This is important because overall it will impact other countries and their economy as well. Since they are all interconnected, everyone is going to be affected by this in someway.

1. I learned that NATO stands for North Atlantic Treaty Organization, and Ukraine was to become a member of NATO as soon as it reached NATO standards for governance and transparency. It hasn't done that yet, but the Russian aggression against the move was strong. Article 5 of NATO's treaty is extremely vague on an armed response to an attack on any one of its countries. Even though Ukraine has not completely joined NATO yet, it has effectively made it under NATO's protection. NATO has only ever actually invoked Article 5 of its treaty once, about 24 hours after the September 11th attacks in order to support the United States. It also has current active operations.
2.
3.
4.

So just talk their problem out with each other. Also I think Russia needs to listen to what Ukraine has to say about the war.
3) I can spread awareness to others and tell them what is happening in the situation. The more people that know the more help people can get.
4) I think this crisis is important to learn about because fighting with people isn't the best way to handle things. Just because you get mad at something doesn't mean you get to go kill a bunch innocent people. So it is important to learn about because we need to know how bad wars are and that we don't want them to create any more conflict.

1) I learned that this situation has impacted many different people, both Ukrainians and Russians. I can also explain how watching Ukraine's president speech to the Russian people seemed to have wanted to sympathize with them and prove that they were innocent. NATO stands for North Atlantic Treaty Organization as well, a term used in this conflict.
2) The solutions I propose would be potentially cutting off resources for Russia and give support where we can. Not getting too involved but being educated about the situation would be helpful.
3) For what I could do myself, I think I could spread more awareness to the situation and continue educating myself for what is happening right now. I can explain how taking action would be a compassionate thing to do because I could help the people in Ukraine in many ways too that says a lot about me as a person. Holding people in power accountable is very important too. I can always find ways to take action during a crisis no matter how big it may seem.
4) This is important to learn about because this event is part of history itself and we are witnessing it happen before our eyes. We all learn from our mistakes and in the future if this gets larger, it would be very important to know what occurred actually. The situation has the possibility of spreading and getting wide, so we should know what is happening.

1) The reason Putin may be trying to invade Ukraine is because he's frustrated he was not as powerful as before and wants to reclaim that title.
2) I think help from the outside would be the best solution. Because by interfering directly(e.g. sending U.S. troops into Ukraine) Russia could start attacking us as well. That'll lead into an even worse situation. For now we need to provide resources to people in Ukraine and figure out a way to talk things out. I think the U.S. is already doing this.
3) Realistically, we could donate to people currently in Ukraine, or spread awareness of the situation to people we know so they could do the same.
4) The lives and independence of people in Ukraine are at risk. And it should be common sense for we as humans to be caring about other humans. Also, this situation has the chance to escalate outside of just Russia and Ukraine. It has the chance to affect us. If we aren't informed when we have the chance, then how will we know how to react when we're involved.

2. The solution that I propose is that Russia should extract their troops from Ukraine and NATO should stop giving weapons to Ukraine, and everyone should make a peace treaty that ensures that this never happens again. Another solution I propose is that Ukraine gives Russia something they want, and everyone stops attacking and everyone makes a peace treaty.
3. Our peers and I can donate money to the Ukrainian pranks. Another thing we can all do is stop posting fake information online.
4. This crisis is important to learn about because it is going on in our real world, and we should understand what is happening and be careful about it. It can also lead to bigger issues, and if we learn about it now, we could take part in stopping it.

Their saying things like Ukraine is Nazist or that they hate Russian culture. I also learned that Russia is invading because Ukraine was about to join NATO or the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. Russia didn't want this to happen because they would join countries like the United States and France.
2) One solution is ban most or all trade with Russia. This will hurt their economy greatly and Russia can no longer get certain resources that are found in US.
3) The best way for people like us to help is to spread awareness of what is actually going on so people know both sides the reasons behind the impending war.
4) This crisis is important to know about because this isn't just a war between Russia and Ukraine.

1) I learned that Russian doesn't want Ukraine to join NATO.
2) One solution, is to have Ukraine and other supportive country's to negotiate with Russia to see what they want and try to work the situation out.
3) Some actions that could contribute to the situation is to donate to any part of Ukraine this includes banks, shelters, etc.
4) This crisis is important to learn about because this could escalate into something bigger.
