         <title>OPTION 1: A Skit</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Step One:  Select the time period (The TENSE) (see requirements above). **No matter which time period, keep your presentation as close and realistic to the novel's genre plot as possible.  <br>Step Two:  Give the audience a brief introduction of your actors and where your presentation picks up (i.e., which part in the novel, after the novel, ten years down the road, or, did you convert your skit to present day, etc...)<br> Step Three:  Your group will create a skit (a play) using a shared Google Doc.  You share the doc so each of you can help create and add to it.  <br>Step Four:  Your group must also submit a Work Cited page.  Since you are only creating a script, you only have to cite the novel.  (Worth 25 points of your presentation).  Use EasyBib.com.   EASYBIB:  <a href="http://www.easybib.com/folders">http://www.easybib.com/folders</a><br>Step Five:  Once the skit is final, you will share it with me and we will print a copy off for each actor (you can still edit your scripts if necessary by adding, deleting, highlighting, etc...)  You're scored on your presentation, not the script.<br>Step Six:  You can use your scripts in the presentation, but you still need to practice.  Create necessary props.<br>Step Seven:  You will perform the skit in front of the class on a scheduled day.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Using the features of Google Slide Show, create a slide show mixed with pictures and text.<br>Step One:  Select the time period (see directions)  **No matter which time period, keep your presentation as close to the novel's plot as possible.  <br>Step Two:  Create a slide presentation (no less than 8 SLIDES--or more).  Mix visuals with text.  YOU MUST HAVE TEXT AND THE TEXT NEEDS TO BE PROOFREAD AND SPELLED CORRECTLY.<br>Step Three:  Proofread, proofread, proofread.<br>Step Three:  Your group must also submit a Work Cited page.  EVERY IMAGE YOU TAKE FROM GOOGLE IMAGES OR THE INTERNET MUST BE CITED.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Using PowToon, Pixton, StoryboardThat (apps) create a comic strip.  (*StoryboardThat limits to 3 or 6 slides.  I recommend two students per strip work together in your group, then put the strips/boards  together as a story).  (Can you create a slide show?)<br>Step One:  Select the time period (see directions)  ** No matter which time period, keep your presentation as close to the novel's plot as possible.  Punctuation and spelling count.  <br>Step Two:  Choose an app and create a comic strip (as stated, depending on the app and its limitations, more than one person might be creating a strip at one time).<br>Step Three: Your group must also submit a Work Cited page.  Since you are creating a comic strip,  you have to cite the novel, The Outsiders..  (Worth 25 points of your presentation).  Use EasyBib.com.   EASYBIB:  <a href="http://www.easybib.com/folders">http://www.easybib.com/folders</a><br>Step Four:  You will present your comic strips to a group or the class (depending on the capability we have) on a scheduled day.  Each two members can take turns to  present (in the order of the scenes in the book).   </div>]]></description>

         <title>OPTION 6:  Three-Scene (Minimum) Sound Track Score + Summaries.  </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Using a Google Document (or Slide Show) summarize (i.e., well-explain) three DIFFERENT scenes in the book), then choose the music you are familiar with and interested in (vocal or instrumental) that parallels (matches, goes-with) the three different scenes.  (You can suggest more than one song/musical score) .  You cannot use the music already in the movie. Justify (give rationale, give reasons) why you believe this music goes well with the scene.  <br>Step One:  Choose the three scenes from the novel.  Summarize them (see step three).<br>Step Two:  Choose the three (or more) songs/musical scores that you want to go with the scene. <br>Step Three:  Your group must also submit a Work Cited page.  Cite the novel, The Outsiders and cite each song you use in your soundtrack.   (Worth 25 points of your presentation).  Use EasyBib.com.   EASYBIB:  <a href="http://www.easybib.com/folders">http://www.easybib.com/folders</a><br>Step Four:  WRITING REQUIREMENTS continued:   Write a minimum of 7-10 sentences for each scene (THREE WELL-EXPLAINED PARAGRAPHS, 21-30 sentences total), describing the scene and justifying WHY you believe that song/music goes with the scene. You will need to include:  Title of Song and the artist's name.  You are welcome to add visual aides, scenes from the movie, or images  you find which go with your chosen scenes. (These visual aides are  not required, just suggested).<br>Step Five:  Type out your 10 sentence paragraphs in Google Doc/or Slides.  Be sure to create links in your doc/slide show/presentation to quickly access during your presentation and make sure they work.<br>Step Four:  You will present your document/links/slide show and music to the class on a scheduled day.  </div>]]></description>
