Chuckles: Good story from Mary about a student who reminds her of Chris Farley...Ha! Had to do with what to do if students have to "let one go..."

Technology in our Classrooms: Textbooks online--working well, kids like it because there are games available for practice, can be differentiated reading but the content is leveled according to ability;

Skills need in future: independence, time management, helping them with concrete ways of how to organize themselves, helping kids be savvy enough with technology to have confidence in order to function in society and where the world is going, making sure kids have the basic skills in technology needed across the board consistently as a building

7th Grade Math: Utilizing an app that measures the height and width of a ski stride, using the video to make a video to introduce slope.

Tech Prep: Robotics--looked at gear ratios to make make a ball fly.

Orchestra: 6th and 7th grade students are recording themselves practicing and submitting. Allows students to hear themselves playing.

Speech: Keeping student speech samples for reflection on progress over time. Easy to keep samples accessible.

Social Studies (5): Thinglink to tag information about the colonies

Global (8): Thinglink to tag info about Canada (web working better than app currently though) and to add videos about something for that region (gives them a lot of choice for something that interests them.)
