         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>-Economically, the 19th century had been beneficial for Austria-Hungary. <br>-The empire and began developing capitalist institutions, such as banking, industry and manufacturing. </strong></div><div><strong>-The National Bank was formed, which linked both halves of the empire</strong></div><div><strong>-Manufacturing and industrial production increased in the western half of the empire, while the east remained agricultural<br>-by 1900 the empire had one of Europe’s best railroad networks. </strong></div><div><strong>-Modernization led to improvements in trade, employment and living standards.</strong></div>]]></description>

         <title>Social Changes After WW1</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li>During WW1, these social classes developed different political associations such as social democracy, conservative politics or liberalism. These different associations grew tension along the citizens, and a growing middle class changed the social structure. There are more middle class citizens than any other group, and although equality is promoted through Austria-Hungary - foreign workers, immigrants and Gypsies are less accepted than others by the middle class. These changes negatively affected Austria-Hungary's social classes</li></ul><div><br></div>]]></description>
