For this test, I decided to paint my pink wallet. I had a bit of trouble with painting it at first and to be honest I was really nervous that it was going to end badly, but I'm glad it didn't. For these two paintings, I used Carmine from the Sargent Art watercolors and the Staedtler #8 round brush.

Like the previous paintings I did, I also used the same watercolors and brush for this one. I really liked the way it came out, especially with the little object (I don't know what it's called) that's attached to it. I'm really proud of how I painted it but I think what would have been better was if I added a background. For the shadows, I used Ultramarine Blue and the same watercolor brush.

I decided to use Pentel Arts watercolor pencils for this one because I wanted to see what textures I can make using watercolor pencils instead of watercolor pans. I'm still not used to working with watercolor pencils but I'm actually liking the results that I'm getting. At first, I was really worried that the bushes in the background looked really ugly because I ended making the bushes darker. But, after I finished the painting I liked it a bit more. I have mixed feelings about the way the flower bouquet and the fences ended up looking. I used the Winsor and Newton angled brush for the fences. I decided to remove objects from the background and foreground because I wanted to focus on illustrating the plants. I think what would have worked better is if I added ink linework in the end.

I liked how I drew the flowers and the linework that I did for them. But I think what would have been better is if I added more shapes or objects for the collage. I also realized that it would have been better if I had more objects overlap. For the collage, I decided to use the Angora watercolors and Staedtler #8 Round Brush. I had a bit of trouble painting the pink flower in the bottom right of the collage but I think it ended looking better than I first thought. I also decided to create watercolor blooms and gradients when I was painting the polygons and circles but it didn't look as great as I wanted it to be.
