The babies hands will be in a fist most of the time. Your baby will have coordinated suck from the breast or the bottle nipple. Looking at people's faces may catch the eye of your baby, your baby will also be quiet when they are picked up and cuddle you when they are being held. Lastly, your baby will cry when they are hungry, angry, uncomfortable, or when they need consolation. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The baby will lift up their head for a brief moment when they are on their tummy. They are able to hold a rattle when it is placed in their hand. Babies can also open up their mouth when they see a breast or bottle nipple. The baby's eyes will follow a person or moving object, they are able to stay awake for a longer period of time and will begin to smile. Babies can smile and begin to laugh but it may not be caused by emotions.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Babies are able to lift their heads 2-3 inches off a surface and pushes up on their forearms when they are placed on their tummies. They can also reach towards dangling objects and people's faces. Babies can anticipate feelings, can show interest and excitement when seeing a breast or bottle nipple. Babies will look at their own hands, feel objects with their hands and mouth, start to turn their eyes or head towards a sound, enjoys playful interactions, and will smile a familiar people they come across. Lastly, babies will begin to coo, make gurgling sounds, and make other sounds.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Babies will begin to straighten their legs when their feet touch a flat surface, when they are on their tummy, they are able to lift their head and chest off the surface while they are looking forwards. They are able to hold and shake a rattle, they will also begin to play with and watch their own fingers. Babies will begin to bring their toys they are playing with to their mouth. Babies will also begin to focus their eyes towards a certain sound, looks at a toy they are holding in their hand(s), will smile at themselves in a mirror and laugh. Lastly, babies will start to repeat words such as "mama", "dada", "baba", and more.</div>]]></description>

Will begin to reach for toys with both hands, they will also use their whole hand to grasp a toy. During feeding time, the baby will place both hands on the breast or bottle. Will find a toy that is partially hidden, babies will make sounds to get social attention, and babies will begin to notice strangers. Lastly, babies will continue to repeat words such as "mama", "dada", "baba", and more.</div>]]></description>

Babies begin to reach for toys that are out of reach and loves to be around other people. Lastly, babies continue to repeat words over and over again such as "mama", "dada", baba", and more.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>At 7 months old, babies will begin to reach for their feet, use their hands and fingers to pick up small objects, will hold their own bottle during feeding time, tries to find objects after their are hidden or disappear. Babies can sit without support, first with leaning on their hands then not leaning on their hands at all. They are able to bear their full weight on their feet, reach with one hand, and respond to their name. At 7 months, babies have full color vision and have an improved ability to see distant objects and track objects that are in motion. Babies will also hold a conversation with you at this age. Babies will also imitate your actions, sounds, and words.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Babies begin to sit well without any support, babies will also start to move around by rolling, shuffling, or crawling. 8-month-old babies are able to stand with help, bang toys together, they are able to remove a covered toy and observe toys closely. Babies will begin to try and chew foods (which means they are ready for mashed up foods instead of puree foods). They will also try and feed themselves during feeding time, babies will also begin to combine syllables like "mama" or "dada" without knowing what they mean. 8-month-old babies will also understand what the word "no" means but not obey the word. They will look around a room to see where a particular person is when asked, babies will show separation anxiety, but loves to play games such as peekaboo. Lastly, babies will follow simple directions such as "give me kisses".</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>At 9-months-old, babies will start to crawl, get into a sitting position and sit without support for on average 10 minutes, will pull themselves up to stand from a sitting position, will continue to stand with the support of furniture. Babies will use their thumb and index finger to pick up small objects, point to objects, and watch objects fall. 9-month-old babies will begin to hold, bite, and chew foods. They can also string up syllables such as "mamama" or "bababa", understand the word "no" and respond to simple verbal commands, they also begin to copy sounds and gestures at this age. At this age, babies are afraid of strangers but clingy with their parents and will begin to have their favorite toy. Lastly, babies will follow simple directions such as "touch mama's nose".</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Babies will be crawling at this age if they have not yet started, sit for as long as they want too, stand with support, they will also begin to cruise while holding onto furniture. 10-month-old babies will begin to use their index finger to point or poke at something, they will begin to try and hold their own spoon for feeding, will say "mama" and "dada" and understand what they mean, babies will also waive bye and understand what it means. Babies will also repeat actions that cause for a reaction, follow pictures while you are reading a book, and will say a few words such as "mama" and "dada".</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>11-month-old babies will try to stand with no support for a few seconds, will cruise around with the support of furniture but may take a step without support, enjoy finding hidden objects, will reach for, grab, and even throw objects, place objects in a box or other container. Babies at this age will also have a more variety of words they are able to say such as "hi", "bye", and "no". Babies will also use their body to communicate; for example, babies may point or wave. They also enjoy listening to music and may even dance (bounce) to it, they also are more comfortable around strangers. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>At this age, babies will stand by themselves and even attempt to take their first step alone, they will walk with only one hand being held, they are able to sit down when they are in a standing position. 12-month-old babies will use their hands and fingers to feed themselves, explore objects by banging, throwing, dropping, and shaking them, they are able to use objects in the correct manner such as brushing their hair or drinking out of a cup. Babies are able to turn book pages and recognize photos, help get themselves dressed by pushing an arm through a shirt, follow fast moving objects with their eyes, are able to find hidden objects a lot more easily, try and imitate words you say, and using simple gestures like shaking their head no or waving bye. Babies are able to respond to requests such as "pick up the toy", will repeat sounds you may do for attention, will show fear in some situations, show affection, and show a preference in people and toys.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>At 2 years of age, toddlers like to copy adults and other children (does not have to be the same age), gets excited to be around other children, they are more independent and more defiant. Your toddler can say short sentences with between 2 and four words in it, are able to point to an object when you ask them where that object is, is aware of familiar body parts, can recognize familiar people, and can repeat words they have heard before and follow simple directions. Toddlers are starting to sort out shapes and colors, they are able to find an object that is hidden underneath multiple layers, they can complete a sentence in a familiar book, play simple make-believe games, are able to build a tower with four or more blocks, and can follow two-step instructions. At this age, your toddler may start to develop a dominate hand. Your toddler can run, kick a ball, and throw a ball overhead. They are able to climb up and down furniture without any help from an adult, and makes and/or copies straight lines and circles. A 2-year-old can chew with full jaw movement and uses a spoon or fork with little spill.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>At the age of 3, toddlers can run easily with the measurement of 5 feet, can walk heel-to-toe for at least 5 feet, can throw a ball without anyone showing them how too, and their knees and ankles flex when they are running or walking. 3-year-olds can walk sideways for at least 10 feet, can walk with one foot on a line for 6 feet, can jump 2 inches with both of their feet together, can stand on their tiptoes for at least 5 seconds, can jump down a step with both feet in the air, can steer toys without a struggle when they are pushing it around, and can throw a ball underhand at least 7 feet forwards. Toddlers can also kick a ball 6 feet forward using their opposite arm and leg movement with their knee bent, can walk on their tiptoes without anyone showing them  for 5 feet, will attempt to hop on one foot, will march to music, will jump forward with both feet at least 24 inches, will jump down from an 18-24 inch object landing on both feet without falling, and can jump over a string that is 2 inches off the ground. 3-year-olds can also attempt to swing a baseball bat, will catch a ball with both arms extended, will balance for 2 seconds, will be able to walk in a circle that is drawn on the floor, and climb on and over furniture.</div>]]></description>

Children will say sentences with four or more words, will repeat some words from a song, lullaby, or story, they will also talk about at least one thing that happened throughout their day, and will answer simple questions like "what do you use a fork for?" They will be able to name a few colored items by their color, can tell you what comes next in a story they are familiar with, can draw a person with three or more body parts, can catch a large ball most of the time, can serve themselves food or a drink with an adult watching them, is able to unbutton some of their buttons on their clothing, and can hold a crayon or a pencil between their fingers and thumb.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>At the age of 5, children have the vocabulary of 2,000 words and can speak in sentences with at least 5 words, they are able to recount something such as a phone number or the first and last name of their parent(s), 5-year-olds still ask a lot of questions, but they are able to asked some questions as well. Children at this age can recognized words that rhyme such as "hop" and "stop", when they speak, others can understand it a lot more easily. At this age, children should be able to stand one one foot for at least 10 seconds, they are practicing their climbing, swinging, and somersaulting, they also should be using the potty on their own, and they are able to hop and possibly skip.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>At this age, you child should be able to speak in complete sentences with five to seven words, can follow a series of 3 commands in a row, they are also able to see that some words have more than one meaning to them, you will see fast growth in their mental ability, and they should begin to read books that are right for their age. Children are able to sound out words that don't look familiar, can focus on a task at school for at least 15 minutes, understand the concept of numbers, will know day from night and left from right. 6-year-olds will be able to tell time, and can repeat three numbers backwards. At the age of 6, you will notice your child's baby teeth starting to fall out and their adult teeth start to come in, children that are 6 years of age usually grow 2.5 inches a year and 4 to 7 pounds a year, at this age, you may hear your child complain about tummy aches and body pains, this is due to them being more aware of their body. Children at this age are still learning about sound, distance and speed, so make sure you keep them away from the streets! At this age, they are becoming more independent, they need approval more than before, children will start to play with their own gender, Children should be able to choose their own sport they want to play and toys they want to play with. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>At this age, children have a more developed sense of time and can tell the difference between seconds, minutes, hours, days, and weeks. Children at this age should be able to express their thoughts and feelings and be understood by others outside of their immediate family. They are starting to pronounce their words more clearly, so the "th" in a word doesn't sound like a "f". 7-year-olds have mastered the basic skills of reading and writing but still need work to get better. Your child should have the coordination they need to climb or swim, their fine motor skills should be more easy for them so using scissors should be more easy for them, and your child should be able to dress themselves without any help from an adult.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>At this age, your child will learn more vocabulary than before, they are able to carry on more complex conversations with you. Children at this age are able to read chapter books and continue reading past their bedtime. You may not notice any major changes in your child, but that does not mean no changes are happening; you may notice your child balancing a lot better, their gross motor skills are turning, spinning, and jumping. Your child's fine motor skills will be more neat, clear to read, and most likely all the same size when they write. At this age, your child has developed a new ability which is called decentralization; this is when they receive something they do not like but continue to have a smile on their face and thank whoever bought them that present, it gives your child the ability to see how someone else may feel and choose to spare hurting anyone's feelings. At this age, your child might more privacy than usual, remember to always knock, it shows your child you respect them and trust them. At the age of 8, children are becoming responsible and may even be responsible to take care of a pet.</div>]]></description>
