The meaning of democracy in the contemporary world is that democracy in the modern time, like India has a excellent democracy then other countries in modern period of time.

But in India 33 percent of people are not satisfied with India's democracy and sometimes i am also not satisfied.

Monarchy is not a mean of democracy, like if I take a recent event where monarchy was stopped was Nepal, as Nepal citizen's where not happy with king Gyanendra because he had restricted people rights as people protest finally they got democracy in 2006.
UK is also a monarchial country where queen elizabeth is government of UK but people are satisfied with queen Elizabeth.

One party rule is also non democratic means of rule as when elections are held people do not have a choice to choose his like party. China is the biggest example in this contemporary world.

Sudan is the recent example of dictatorship. Sudan got it democracy again in 2019 before 2019 it was under millitary coup Omar al-Bashir.

There are lot of other non democratic countries in the world like china, Zimbabwe, north Korea, Saudi Arabia, Vietnam etc.
Sudan got its democracy on 5 July 2019 by TMC, forces of freedom and change in alliance.

At last, In this contemporary world only 167 countries are democratic our of 195 countries. To maintain democracy we have to be alert we don't know the future, if tomorrow only the government changes to dictatorship.

What is democracy?
Democracy is a way of governing which depends on the will of the people. People have full power in their hands and if they think that a government is not working properly they can remove them. In democracy, the government should work for the people.

Now let's see the democratic system followed in Argentina..
The government of Argentina, within the framework of a federal system, is a presidential representative democratic republic. The President of Argentina is both head of state and head of government. Executive power is exercised by the President. Legislative power is vested in the National Congress.
The President is elected for a four year term by the Universal Adult Suffrage.

Were the people happy under the democratic system of Argentina?
A majority of the Argentina Public is dissatisfied with the state of their democracy because Long-standing human rights problem includes police abuse, poor prison conditions, endemic violence against women, restrictions on abortion, difficulty accessing reproductive services, and obstacles keeping indigenous people from enjoying the rights that Argentina and international law afford them.
This is the reason why people of Argentina are not satisfied with the Democratic system. However, some of the majority are in favor of democratic system because:-
They are those who have a favorable view of the ruling party. Majorities of those with favorable views of Kirchnerismo and Peronismo express dissatisfaction with democracy’s functioning.
Some of the countries may follow democratic system follow successfully as the voice of the people is heard, but in some countries democracy is still not followed, we must be aware of the leaders in the country and watch if they are working properly.

The process of democratization being with the French Revolution in 1789.It took about 100 years of struggle for France and many other European countries to develop into proper democracies.
The process of democratization of Britain began much earlier than in France. It was a comparatively peaceful process.
The British colonies in the North America declared their independence in 1776 and established democratic regime. Hence , USA is known as the oldest democracy in the world .The USA adopted its democratic constitution in 1787.
End of Colonialism
While India countries to be a thriving democracy , many formers colonies experience various ups and downs. Military coups became the norm in many forms colonies and democratic regimes e.g. Ghana , Pakistan , Myanmar , etc.
The next big push for democracy came while revival of democracy in many Latin American countries ; like Chile .

What is Democracy?
Abraham Lincoln described democracy as “Democracy is a government of the people, by the people, and for this people”. What he meant is that, democracy is a form of government in which the people have the right to choose their governing representatives.

A country is considered as a democratic country when all the people of the country get equal rights and have the right to vote.

And its opposite is a non- democratic country, a country where fair and free elections are not held.

For instance, Qatar Qatar is one the few remained absolute monarchies in the world. Absolute Monarchy is one where one person has an unrestricted political power over a state. Officials have been elected by the people since 1999, but there is quite less participation in these elections, hence making it insignificant and monarchic. The protagonist of the country is its Prime Minister, Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani, who is a distant relative of the former Finance and Prime Minister, Hamad Bin Jassim Al Thani. Life in Qatar is mostly tax-free. But you do pay for things like there is a no-shoulder-no-knee rule for women. If you are scantily clad, you will be asked to leave the premises right away. Also, if you want to booze on the weekend, you can count your options on fingers as there are only a few places where alcohol is allowed and a person can only spend 10% of your monthly wage on it.

The politics of North Korea takes place within the framework of the official state philosophy, Juche, a concept created by Hwang Jang-yop and later attributed to Kim Il-sung. The Juche theory is the belief that only through self-reliance and a strong independent state, can true communism be achieved.^[1]^[2]

The Juche Tower symbolizes the official state philosophy of Juche.
North Korea's political system is built upon the principle of centralization. While the North Korean constitution formally guarantees protection of human rights, in practice there are severe limits on freedom of expression, and the government closely supervises the lives of North Korean citizens. The constitution defines North Korea as "a dictatorship of people's democracy"^[3] under the leadership of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), which is given legal supremacy over other political parties. WPK General Secretary is typically the supreme leader, who controls the WPK Presidium, the WPK Politburo, the WPK Secretariat and the WPK Central Military Commission, making the officeholder the most powerful person in North Korea.

The decisions on who is considered part of the people and how authority is shared among or delegated by the people have changed over time and at different speeds in different countries, but they have included more and more of the inhabitants of all countries.
