It invites us to rethink teaching practice and fosters a critical and proactive attitude toward the challenges and opportunities that AI brings to education.

The article "Redefining the Teacher's Role in Education through Artificial General Intelligence (AGI)" offers a detailed analysis of the impact that cutting-edge artificial intelligence will have on educational contexts. The author proposes that the emergence of intelligent systems capable of thinking, adapting, and producing content like humans will require a reevaluation of the teacher's role. Instead of merely transmitting knowledge, teachers must become mediators, creators of educational experiences, and guides in the process of students' ethical, critical, and social development.

From my perspective, the incorporation of artificial intelligence into education represents a tremendous opportunity to personalize the learning process, broaden pedagogical approaches, and dedicate time to focusing on human support. However, it also entails challenges such as dependence on technology, the requirement for teacher training, and the preservation of essential educational values. Thus, the role of the teacher is not extinguished, but transformed: the teacher becomes a facilitator who analyzes data, selects appropriate tools, and provides emotional and educational support that Artificial Intelligence cannot yet replace.

Within the framework of English instruction, this shift requires the teacher to master digital tools such as writing aids, vocabulary practice platforms, and interactive content creators. The teacher's new role is not only to teach grammatical structures but also to promote critical reasoning, independence, and digital ethics. Artificial Intelligence can provide exercises, corrections, and follow-up; however, it is the teacher's duty to provide context, encourage, and guide the student in a relevant and human learning process.
