Zayd has shown lovely growth in his body awareness this year. He moves with increasing confidence and balance during play and movement activities, showing comfort and control in how he uses his body. Zayd enjoys opportunities to move freely, whether walking, running or exploring different actions at his own pace. He is becoming more aware of his body in space and can follow simple movement instructions with gentle guidance. When identifying and naming body parts, Zayd sometimes needs encouragement, but he responds well to visual cues and enjoys imitating actions demonstrated by his teacher. It is wonderful to see his growing confidence and enjoyment as he continues to explore movement and body awareness in his own unique way.

Fine Motor:

Zayd has made steady progress in his fine motor development this year. He benefits from gentle guidance and reassurance during structured activities such as tracing, colouring, threading and building puzzles. Although he can be sensitive to certain textures, Zayd is learning to explore new materials at his own pace and is showing growing comfort and curiosity during sensory play. He enjoys using playdough, especially when shown how to use tools like cutters and sticks and it is lovely to see his willingness to try again when encouraged. Zayd is developing greater control when using a pincer grip to pick up small objects and is beginning to attempt tasks more independently once he understands what to do. His quiet determination and steady progress are truly encouraging — well done, Zayd!

Gross Motor:

Zayd has shown lovely progress in his gross motor development this year. He enjoys outdoor play where he can move freely and express himself through movement. Ball activities are a favourite and he can confidently kick, roll, catch, and throw a ball with growing control and coordination. Zayd is developing good balance and core strength, which can be seen when he walks carefully along a balancing beam or navigates obstacle courses. With gentle encouragement and clear demonstrations, he is becoming more confident in climbing, jumping and crawling activities. Although he sometimes prefers familiar movements, Zayd is beginning to try new physical challenges with increasing willingness and enjoyment. Zayd is also familiar with many shapes such as circle, square, triangle, rectangle, oval, star, heart and diamond. When given guidance or visual examples, he is able to sort and match objects correctly, showing an increasing understanding of similarities, differences and groupings. Zayd enjoys picture-based activities and can identify familiar objects and images with growing confidence. With continued encouragement and opportunities to explore visual tasks at his own pace, Zayd will keep strengthening his observation and recognition skills. Fantastic progress, Zayd!
