My name is Carson and I come from HONG KONG and will take the physiotherapy course next year.I was studying physics,biology and calculus in my high school,so it will be a totally new experience for me to study chemistry this academic year,and I probably need to pay lots of effort to do it.

There are various things that I love to do in my free time,the first one will be doing sports ,I am a cyclist,volleyball player,and a runner,i've been to cycle around taiwan 4 years ago,it should be the hardest 10days in my entire life because we need to ride about 150km per day,really exausting,but a extraordinary experience to train my physical body and mental strength.For running,I really enjoy it,no matter doing it alone or with my friends.As I lived in HONG KONG,there are countless homework and study material everyday,that made me feel stressful,and tensioned,just imagine you've just finished all your work,and put on your trainers and sportswears,get out ftom your home,and listen to the surroundings while you're running,the sound of traffic light,what pedestrians are chatting about,laughter from the restaurants,you can put all of your annoyance and frustration behind your head,itsnt it really relaxing?:)

The second thing that i want to share with you,is that i am a coffeeholic,in both drinking and brewing coffee.I was also a part-time barista that specialized in hand-drip and syphon before I came here.There are ample of things that you can dig into coffee,for example,region of the coffee beans,brewing methods,tempreature of water etc.It's really fantastic that the taste of coffee will be totally different if you change a bit of your brewing data.

Finally,hope i will enjoy my time in UBIC and UOB.

First life and career skills week

In this week, we don’t have any proper lessons, but there’s a life and career skills workshop. Before the event, I thought it will be so boring ,as I have attend countless workshops and talks about career and choosing jobs in my secondary school last year. However ,it wasn’t how I imagined. Its is a 1week based workshop about creating magazines with other foundation and pre masters students . And our group have picked the topic of street art in Brighton, and I know nothing about it, even the word graffiti , after lots of researches, we have to present our magazine pages to the whole class,and it definitely improves my confidence and ability to present, and we finally won the workshop competition and got 25pounds of Amazon coupon,what a wonderful experience

Time management

Today’s learning support mentioned time management,which is a difficult thing for me. As my mbti is ENFP, I don’t love planning, I prefer feeling the vibe and do decisions, although it often make me messed up my schedule, I really enjoy it, cuz I can feel extreme freedom to myself.However ,this ability is still critical for academic. I found myself difficult to manage my time to pick up of my study ,especially chemistry, I missed 2 lessons and I don’t know how to do the homework.Luckily,I succeed to learn it by myself and catch up in lessons, I think I need a well planned study schedule.

Finishing all the reports in last minute

Last Monday was quite a whirlwind as I found myself wrapping up all my pending tasks in the eleventh hour. Despite the pressure, I managed to complete a myriad of assignments, including a comprehensive chemistry lab report, two detailed biology lab reports, and the culmination of my extended project in record time. It was a hectic but rewarding experience, knowing that I was able to accomplish so much within a tight deadline. While I may have been pressed for time, I'm proud of my ability to maintain focus and deliver quality work across multiple subjects. It's moments like these that remind me of the importance of time management and perseverance in achieving academic success.
