When you look at our petri dish you can visually see that the counter top has more bacteria than the other places. Then once we actually counted the bacteria it contains 65 colonies of bacteria. While the keyboard contains 20 colonies of bacteria, the gym floor contains 7 colonies, the phone contains 12, and then the air contains 4 colonies. This shows that the place with the most bacteria is the counter.

It makes sense for there to be more bacteria on the counter top, because there are multiple people that touch it. We use the counter tops for all of our labs, and multiple people are using them as well. So even though we are washing our hands, and using hand-sanitizer, there is an abundant amount of bacteria located on the counter. We are also touching other items and then touching the counter again which just moves the bacteria. Then the bacteria would be able to spread and cause more bacterial growth.
