The landforms of Canada and geological process affect where people live in many ways. There are 8 specific landforms in Canada, some being the Western Cordillera, Region, Interior Plains, Canadian Shield, Hudson Bay Lowlands, Great Lakes-St., Lawrence Lowlands, Appalachian Region, Arctic Lowlands and Intuition Mountains. In Victoria the main landforms are mountains, rivers and interior plateau.
As for the geological process, it studies the Earth's crust. That includes weathering, erosion and plate tectonics. The geology in Victoria, British Columbia are the mountains with the diversity of different rock types.

Soil affects where people live as in many ways. The main example being, everything we need relies on healthy soil. For example our food crops, livestock, aquatic species, insects, the water cycle and more. With bad soil our crops wouldn't grow, cutting off the majority of our food supply.
People generally live in areas where they can exist with enough food to support themselves and their families. Fewer people live in areas farther away from food sources as it isn't as easy of a life style. On average their food costs are higher due to the transportation fees, as everything has to be transported to them.

Victoria is the capital of British Columbia, and is located off the top of Vancouver Island.
The climate in Victoria attracts to many people because of the warm summers, mild winters and the little amount of rain compared to the rest of the province.
The soil in Victoria is rich allowing this region to submit a large variety of fields and crops. The crops produce mainly carrots, potatoes, berries and wine grapes. The crops also produce poultry, cattle, dairy and vegetables. Therefor, food sources are always available allowing food prices to stay reasonable as they do not have to be transported. This is one of the many reasons people choose to live in Victoria. As well as the farming industries allow many jobs in the area.
The physical environment affects a large roll in their population as the majority of people live in Victoria.
There are a bunch of different landforms in Victoria. The main landforms in Victoria are mountains, rivers and interior plateau. The mountain areas have lots of rain, allowing healthy plant and crop growth.
The geological process has many mountains with a diversity of different rock types.
And as for the vegetation, the Boreal Forest is the main one. It is also the largest vegetation region with long winters and warm summers. Although this forest does have acid soils and poor fertility, this allows only coniferous trees to survive with the colder climate.
