"Night" was written so we as people can acknowledge what occurred in these camps, how these people were treated by those in power. That the people who committed and supported these acts were monsters of men and the lives lost in the camp are much more than numbers on a graph. Unfortunately, whether the world refuses to acknowledge such events, ethnic, racial, and religious persecution still occur quite frequently all over the world.
