Write two questions about the passage. These should not be “point-and-find” questions or plot-based questions--they should be open-ended, discussion-type questions that require thoughtful analysis and reading between the lines.

1. Why did the author purposely want to sound rude?

2.

Did the speaker’s argument persuade you? Explain why or why not, and support your response with text evidence from the passage.

I already agreed with the speaker, but even if I didn't already agree I would have been persuaded. They would have persuaded me because they use a lot of examples and they also appeal to logic a lot. Personally I am persuaded easily by logic. When he said this " Like a bread-pudding container that says, "Product will be hot after heating." Or the iron that cautions "Do not iron clothes on body." Or a chain saw that admonishes, "Do not attempt to stop chain with your hands" it brings it more to my attention of how stupid these warnings are and how obvious it is not to do these things.
