The Lady of the Rowan Tree

An ascended mortal or goddess (?) woman who looks like/"matches" cidari. Imprisoned VODA, possibly created cidari. Might be the figure Delilah saw in her visions, also might be the statue of the woman covered in rowan leaves by the monastery.

The humming

Strange dreams

Mare and Cornelius had strange dreams after seeing VODA. An old book called "Ending Dreams" described an old god with giant orange spheres for eyes

The "end of the world"

Multiple old books described the end of the world. "Guardians of the World"- Four witches who worshiped a rowan tree apparently failed to stop the end of the world.

"Remembering the plague"- perspective of a small town as the sky went dark.

The murals around the monastery showed a fight with what is presumably VODA

Much older than the City of Strings. Surrounded by murals of showing people fighting with presumably VODA. Had books in an old language know of us knew, but Cadoran could read, maybe because of Alabaster's influence. The inscriptions around the mural mentioned a garden, a great creator, a greater end, and the "Great World Above."

Follower of Alabaster. Could "see beyond". Was the first of the founders to die. His tomb had the unknown writing from the monastery on it, and his statue had black rot that resembled the god-goop on it. The humming noise made it retreat. Had a weird, dark stone eye. Cornelius's compass was leading to it, and apparently him taking it will "make things worse".

Vaharin, Cadoran, Cass (leader), Steelheart, Sixgreen, one other mystery founder. They found the monastary at some point. Created the City of Strings and maybe Ember-Den? Sixgreen and Cadoran died of cidari wihdrawl, so the might have been in Evercross before cidari was created

Extremely magical and addictive. Keeps VODA imprisoned. Many unknown properties. May disappear or loose its potency if VODA is destroyed.
