Topic: Characterization (indirect vs. direct)
1) In the first semester, students completed a Nearpod lesson detailing the topic of characterization. This lesson was directly tied in with the texts students were reading from the Springboard curriculum. 
2) In the second semester, students read the novel, The Girl Who Owned a City. Students reviewed characterization by reviewing their notes from 1st semester and taking notes using 365 on the Characterization Prezi and Powerpoint. Then, students created a video with a partner on GoAnimate. The video required students to analyze characterization for the protagonist of the novel, The Girl Who Owned a City.
