Typically, if a teacher needs access to technology, they are able to use the tools they need as long as they reserve them in advance.  The only thing I feel that we are missing is the 1to1 component.  

Our school also has students keep their devices in their lockers so that they are not a distraction. Across the district's lower secondary/primary levels, our students have the same access to technology as previously stated. 

However, in the high school, students are given a MacBook so that each student has a 1to1 device. This is SO helpful for me because throughout the day or specifically study hall, students don't need to leave the room to have internet access to work on projects. Not all teachers are this lucky.  I teach a reading intervention course that students use computers daily to work through our online program.

I also allow students to use my iPad during interactive math lessons if they are a visual learner.
