Ever since the lockdowns started, I was also scared and anxious like everyone else, however I got sick of all of it after a while, because I started to believe that COVID is not something worth locking myself up over fear of contracting it, and that there are much worse viruses out in the world than it (since it has a very low infection fatality rate, most people who get it only experience mild to no symptoms at all, and only the elderly or people with comorbidities have to worry much about it). Instead of being locked up, I decided to take care of my health by eating well and exercising in order to have a good immune system, so even if I get infected with COVID, I would not get bad symptoms. If COVID would have to be extinct for the pandemic to end, then it is not going to end in years, so it is either that people start to accept it as a reality of life, or continue to stay hypochondriacs while formulating laws which oppress countless people by stripping them of their jobs and livelihoods, cause businesses to shut down everywhere, and make the lives of the poor miserable (which in and of itself is much worse than getting COVID).
