1) i believe that this article convince the reader that regardless in what situation you are in life, everyone deserve to learn. I am inspired by the author for his perseverence and strong will to succeed eventhough he goes through hardship and unfair treatment from others.
2) The life lesson from Focusing on friends is that love can be expressed in so many ways and that we should always treat our friends of the same and different gender equally. On the other hand, the life lesson for waiting in line at the drugstore is that one should never allow society's perspective towards or in this case racial discrimination to be an excuse of not adding value to oneself by learning.

1) After reading this article, I feel grateful that society nowadays is much less racist than it was before.

2) The first article taught me that there's simply different ways to show love to others and that each person has their own way of showing their love to their loved ones. While the second article taught me that good things come to those who wait and that gaining knowledge doesn't just makes you knowledgeble but also well respected by others, no matter what your background is.

The second article reminded me that judgement from others should not stop you for pursing something you truly want because all it takes is your own strong will and passion. #ignorethehaterz

I feel saddened towards how white people treated black people, i mean we all are humans and we all gonna die anyway. Just because, some people are different doesn't mean we have to treat them differently. Don't discriminate others, just think about it, how would you feel you were treated that way? Will you like it? And secondly, i admired how the blacks keep on figuring out ways to be as same level as whites though they were treated very poorly and it is proven that education can changes someone's life, no matter where are they're from or how they look like.

2) Differences between this article and the focusing on friends article is, both thought very different and valuable lessons which are:-
First; don't discriminate others and always find ways to gain knowledge. Second; love can be expressed in many ways and actions speak louder than words.

I am emotionally touched. It puts perspective in how minor groups of society live and the troubles they are forced to go through. Always put yourself in the shoes of others when you go about your life. Not everyone has it easy, be grateful for what life has offered in prosperity to you. In comparison to the first article, this difficulty is a more significant problem in which the lessons we can obtain from have more of an impact to the greater good of society. With a more comprehensive understanding of communal life, we can make living in a better and fulfilling way for all types of people coming from vast backgrounds

I feel sad how white people treated black people in a way they are forced to go through the troubles.
2.

1) Despite having inadequate education background and being in a constant torment of discrimination, the author still choose to read books. Perhaps if we are faced in a constant struggle, we have to do things that will distract us from the turmoil. In the end, the author's patience goes a long way, as he finds comfort and joy in between the pages of books even in the midst of an ongoing world war.

2) The two passages are two different worlds that tells different lessons. Focusing on Friends taught us that love can be expressed in many ways. Even if genarally boys do not seemed to obviously potray any feelings, the authors changed that perspective by saying he did felt love towards his friends.

In Waiting at the Drugstore, on the other hand, emphasises that patience goes a long way. Patience gave the author another meaning in life: the beauty of literature.

1) This article teaches me that successful people find answers, not wait for them. The author continued reading books although white people starred at him at the cafe. He was interested in reading so he went to the black library to find more books. Finally, because of his effort he gained more knowledge and was respected by the society and treated similar like everyone else.

2) Both articles teaches people to treat each other equally no matter gender or skin color. Equal does not mean that we are all the same . Each of us is different in our own special way but we also have the common qualities that make us all humans. So each of us should be treated with respect. #saynotracism #blacklivesmatter #genderequality

If i was him, i will only loaf at the ghetto playing games with my colored friends. 2) the First article is mainly the author comparing his male and female friends but the second article is about the consequences of being patience that changed the author life forever. Personally, making inferences in the first article is easier compared to the second article because i was able to imagine being in the 1st article's author's shoes.

Firstly, I was reminded that despite all of the descrimination that the blacks recieve being a minority group, at the end of the day they are only human. They too, crave for the pursuit of knowledge and go out of their way to make it their initiative to seek education. This reminds me to be appreciative of the opportunities that I've been given because the cost of education is a privilege that most do not recieve.

Secondly, both of the articles have taught me precious values such as treasuring your friends, because in this era it is hard to find someone who'll have your back until the very end. The second article has instilled a sense of gratitude and appreciation for all that my family has done to provide me with education.
