I would try my hardest to win and do great. I would usually  help out my teammates and incourage them to try harder on their next shift. One night we were virsing our rivals, Mckinney. we were neck and neck, 1 to 1 with little time left in the 3rd period. I was determined to win, so when it was my shift, I bolted out there ready to take the puck and score.  With little time left and the puck in our zone, I went to grab it and wheel around the net to skate up the ice. We were going to win I felt all I had to do was shoot and hit the net, so I wound up ready to take one of the hardest shots of my life. It Hit the post. We lost.

This relates to the theme because if I wasn't determined to win we would've lost in regular time which is not good.

It was in the 3rd quarter and I told my coach with determination to do my "Special play" and was determined to score a touchdown. When the time came the QB said "Hut" I booked it, sprinting down the field, the QB throws the ball, I throw my hand up to catch the ball and lands perfectly in my hands. I booked to it running down the field breaking peoples ankles in the process. It was a touchdown, people, teammates, and me were all screaming in joy.
