Conflict 1: Eliza and Professor Higgins fight a lot at the beginning, causing the conflict with the speech lessons. They have a big argument about if she should stay and do the speech lessons, but Eliza doesn't want to stay, because Professor Higgins is rude and careless.

Conflict 2: Eliza left after she realized they were just using her. Professor Higgins got really worried and then started to realize that he was starting to get feelings for her which made things more complicated because neither one wanted to admit that they liked each other.

The greek myth of pygmalion is related to the play because it is all based on making the perfect woman. In the myth he creates an imaginary woman who he makes a sculpture of. In the play Higgins and and Pickering take Elisa who is a flower girl who talks different and turns her into their idea of a perfect woman within a certain amount of time.
