The Nile river was important to the Egyptian civilization. That is because it was the only constant source of water that is there. For example on page 137 the author writes,"Like the Mesopotamians, the Egyptians depended on the floodwaters for their agriculture." The Nile is also important to the Egyptians because it served to them as a river highway. For instance on page 135 it is stated like this,"For early Egyptians the Nile served asa river highway. To use this highway, the Egyptians became expert shipbuilders." Without the river the Egyptians would probably die out cause they would have no kind of other constant water source. But they had the river and if one nation-state was under attack they could send a army down to help. Also they could use the river as a trade route. That is why I think then Nile river is important.

The reason it was important to the Egyptians is because it gave them water for there crops. They need water for there crops to grow them so they can eat and sell them. Olso the Egyptians fought over land for the Nile and there food. Latter they disited that if they stop fighting and work together they could get more done. With out the Nile river they wouldn't be alble to servive. My evidence is in the text book pages 135-140.

Also an example to support that the Nile river is important is that. They need the Nile river to use the bouts and they need the bouts to see if someone is attacking there city state.
The Nile river dose flood but they learned how to take care fond the flooding. Also they need the Nile river to water there pants and to drink water. The Nile river can also support the people of Egypt by providing food like fish.

The reason the Nile river was important to the Egyptians. Was crops are like there life if they don't have a good growing season they become slaves. The way I know this is in the text it says " the Nile river was the giver of life, but life was not easy. For the ancient Egyptians their enviorment created many hardships for farmers. Because of this, the Egyptians developed innovations both to bring water to their fields and their fields ad to take it away." This is the way I know this. The weather is a big part of agriculture especially for the Egyptians. This is why the Nile river is a big part of Egyptian civilization

They Relied on the river as a water source and the river helped with farming and trading routes. For example on page 136 the book states, " boats sailing upriver relied on on Egypts steady north wind to go against the current. This two way travel made visiting and trading easier." Also on page 137 the book states, "because the time of flooding was so important to the Egyptians, they considered it to be the start of their new year.
