The Beats, also known as the Beat Generation, started as a subculture movement created by a group of authors whose work influenced American culture. The writers made a new vision of modern life and changed how people see the world. The Beats were known for their form of language, rejection of materialism, and embracing personal freedom. The movement had a lasting impact on the American literature culture that we know today. It created a bridge between literature, music, and language. the Beat movement became an important period in history because of influences such as jazz, art, literature, philosophy, and religion. It has offered a way of escape for the people of this world we live in. Authors have influenced the way people write due to their past literacy excerpts. They have made literature more convenient and meaningful to the American people and the world. The Beat Generation of writers offered the world a new attitude toward conventional and social norms. It included very artistic expressions and an exploration of spirituality, sexuality, and drug use which contributed to the expression of freedom and self-exploration. It helped redefine the role of writers and artists in society. The challenges and values that they had back then can still be seen today in American literature because the impact continues to be felt, reflecting the enduring power of literature to question, provoke, and inspire.
