         <title>How is each of the biomechanical principles relating to my learning and perfecting my new skill </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Stability and Balance <br></strong>- Balance and stability is a biomechanical principle to maintain line of gravity through centre of mass. This is so I keep the right posture through my preparatory phase by keeping the right balance and a straight line of gravity through the centre of my body. Base of support allows be to balance vertically to the trampoline, the wide the base of support, the lower the centre of mass, the more balance I will get. During the execution phase, it will give me full support through base of support so perform my skill (execution allows me to duck down).<br><strong>Force Summation<br></strong>- The combination of many body parts in which allows me to backflip on a trampoline. The forces are produced through the larger muscles in the body (hamstring, quadriceps), these muscles act first when performing the skill, then is summated to weaker parts of the body in order to fix up tiny parts of the movement such as (swing of arm). This is called sequential acceleration so force summation becomes successful. <br><strong>Projectile Motion<br></strong>There are four factors that influence the flight of the projectile. The angle of release. The angle in which I release my feet off the trampoline is important as where my projectile goes it all dependent on my angle of release. <br>The height of release, the higher the height of release, the longer the flight is. Although this can help in a double backflip, a single backflip could be hard if jumped too high. This is because the force summation from the body may act to far and I may not be able to land on my feet. This is because there is more time for the force to act during the long flight. <br>The launch force is a important part of projectile motion as the speed that allows me to spin in air. The launch force is also dependent on force summation as greater force produce by the body, the more speed and power you are going to get. Th larger muscles work as a sequence to produce strong power and weaker muscles support the force to act such as use of the arms. <br>As all these factors work, a perfect projectile motion is done in the air and the spin can become successful. <br><strong>How and why these are applied&nbsp;<br></strong><br></div>]]></description>

         <title>How I have been learning them? (Think of and discuss Skill Learning Principles)</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Types of Practice:</strong><br>I applied Distributed practice using the Whole part whole method as it was demonstrated before breaking it down into step functions, then practicing as a whole again.<br>I also used Mental rehearsal, watching the video to the left several times before I applied my last whole practice. <br><br><strong>Skill Classification </strong><br>I used Muscular continuum for my skill classification. <br>The type of Muscular continuum I used was gross. Gross uses larger uscles of the body to get enough force to perform the skill. <br>Jumping on the trampoline allowed me to use from the hamstrings and quadriceps, through to the core when flipping in air. We will learn to use these parts of the body by jumping (hamstrings and quadriceps) and landing on your back (core). <br><br><strong>Stages of learning:<br></strong>The stages of learning always start from the cognitive stage. As I have never attempted a backflip, I was a true beginner to perform this type of skill.&nbsp;<br>I practiced at SITE Trampoline to get assistance from the staff, this is associative stage of learning as I have few errors, the staff still needed to help me to perform the skill.&nbsp;<br>As I got comfortable, I was able to perform a backflip by myself and practice to land by myself, I got to the autonomous stage of learning where I can individually perform the skill.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>When I was performing a backflip, I needed the most of centre of gravity to be able to have a great balance and stability. This is so I can apply maximum force from the larger muscles and gain momentum to flip in the air and perform the skill.&nbsp;<br><br>When failing the skill, I lose balance and stability by having a high centre of gravity. This does not give enough momentum as the force produced from the larger muscles was not enough to flip in the air. Also when my skill is not successful, I tend to not do my step wise movements such as, tucking my leg. Otherwise I will not be able to get enough momentum to flip.&nbsp;<br><br>Next time, I will try get my technique right jumping into the foam pit instead of applying the skill on the trampoline. So I can practice each step wise function from jumping, tucking my leg and landing into the foam pit. Then I will attempt my skill perfectly on the trampoline. </div>]]></description>
