I think the most important thing I learned is that writing is a conversation and I am not wrong. These past years I was told that there are specific ways we should be writing that restricted my thoughts and ultimately made me feel dumb. Although it is a simple lesson, it is super important to me because I know that this realization opened my mind to think about what my writing is and what I want my writing to be. Now, I can only look forward to my writing skills being developed and mentors I will find along the way at UC Davis.

The most important thing I learned as a writer was the importance of collaboration during peer review workshops. This is most important to me as I never had anyone critique my writng so I was very scared at first but I realized my peer's feedback was very informative and helpful for me to acknowledge if I wanted to be a better writer.

I have recently learned a lot about myself as a writer and that is mainly due to the literacy self-study. (LOL) If I were to choose the most important one though, it would be me finding out that I only write when it's necessary. I don't write at all in my free time and I think that may be due to me not having any motivation. When I need to do an assignment it gives me motivation to write but without any motivation I just disregard writing as a whole. I think this was the most important because I made a pretty bizarre discovery of myself.

The most important thing that I learned about myself as a writer in this class is how to get comfortable with literacy. This is the most important thing because I wasn’t as comfortable with literacy when I first started this class. Rebuilding my relationship with literacy throughout this course has helped me to get comfortable with it again. I also learned that I was more capable of doing more than what I thought at the beginning of the course. From all of the annotations , drafts, feedback assignments I’ve grown as a writer. This is also important because it has allowed me to transition from the high school level literally thinking to a college level literacy thinking. Now, I’m ready to start my literary journey at Davis

The most important thing I learned about myself as a writer was that I do a lot of connections between myself and what I read. I tend to put myself in others' shoes to understand their thinking. I think this was the most important thing to me because it proved that I am reading actively, and doing an effort to comprehend the texts. It made me proud of myself for using this skill and I hope to improve them by engaging more like asking questions.

The most important thing I learned about myself as a writer in this class is that I am paying more attention to detail, becoming an active reader and writer. Many courses before would teach me to reiterate the information I was reading or simply accept it, but now I am becoming more engaged and attentive to the details and strategies of writing for achieving a purpose. This characteristic was most important to me because I am learned to become an active person in many situations of life. Beyond reading and writing, I know I can use this ability to take opportunities to become involved with my community and breaking misconceptions or misinformation.

This class has helped me improve my literacy skills. The most significant thing that I have learned is to plan for an assignment before you actually compose it. I was able to see notable changes in my writing style after I wrote the synthesis essay. I used to never truly prepare myself before writing an essay. I have learned that preparing beforehand can really improve my writing. I now feel more prepared for my first quarter at UC Davis.

one thing that i learned about myself in this class is that i'm still in a growth process and there are many more things to learn and i also know how to get things done even when i have other priorities. I also learned that i enjoyed learning new things for example when we would read articles and annotate. Normally i would find it quite a bit boring but sometimes it was actually interesting reading about how the writing department functions. i think it is always important to keep an open mindset and never restrict myself from doing things that i am capable of.

The most important thing I learned is that organization facilitates writing tasks and makes them less intimidating. Before UWP 7, I would complete all the stages of writing the day before the deadline due to the lack of organization. I would not give myself enough time to explore different ideas. I would frequently stress out because I only gave myself one shot to perfect my writing. As a result, my relationship with writing was damaged and I began to view writing as laborious. Now, I realize that organizing my thoughts helps me maximize my time and makes writing tasks much more approachable.
