I would also be able to use vibrato effectively when necessary because it really adds structure to the piece. I also want to be able to improve my independence as a musician and be able to practice efficiently on my own. This project will help me do so by allowing me to individually learn my part in each piece of music and only rely on myself (and help from Mrs. Betts) to solve any problems or struggles I may face. By the first week, we were able to get through more than half of our pieces. We only had to change out one piece that was too difficult. Our best piece so far, in my opinion, is Colors of the Wind. It sounds really beautiful and our intonation is pretty great. We were able to get through all of our pieces super good. Even though I didn't like the fact that I didn't know anyone in my group, I think it was a good experience and allowed me to focus on my music. I like working independently on music because it allows me to isolate everything that needs work and it is very similar when working in a small group.
