Although the adults at the church had tried to keep the kids outside they where still missing a few kids. Johnny, ponyboy, and darry (a few greasers from another town) had shown up at the perfect time to help. The 3 teens where able to go into the church and help the kids. 

The Kids where described as heros, sent straight from heaven. As it turnes out the kids say they are the complete opposite, They say they all have a past in crime. Apparently Johnny the 16 year old is wanted for murder, Ponyboy curtis wittnessed the murder after running away, Darry the last one has a large record with the police as well. Their crimes may be ignored though because the murder was self deffence after the boy that was killed tried to drown Ponyboy curtis in a fountain. 1. I think Johnny dies. 
I think he dies because the doctor obviously thinks he going to die or he wouldnt have said if that many times. and Johnny seems to be in really bad uncurable condition.
2. I think the people are going to put soda and pony in a boys home.
I think this because in the eyes of a normal person in the book the boys are in an uncontrolled house that doesnt lock the doors at night so people can just come in. also the fact that pony had been hit and fed cake for breakfast all the time. It seems like unstable living conditions.
3. I beleive soda and pony are going to escape the boys home.
I think this because they want to stay with their family after everything they have gone through. Soda and Ponyboy can escape easily and go to darry.
4. the greasers and the socs will start to get along a bit better.
I say that because after pony and randy talked they realize they are still both humans and stop calling each other soc and grease.
5. the town becomes more freindly and normal.
