For this task, I've decided to use the classical style music and turn it in to more EDM Rock music. As seeing now that the classical style song is starting to fade away with the time. The harmony is starting to go away. So my plan is to use Mix-craft or GarageBand on Mac. I will keep the original sound track of the song, but I'll will add more instrument sounds. Such as using the drums, electric guitar and bass etc;
The song that I'll use is is Canon in D and I'll mix the classical style with EDM or Rock.

Canon in D
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rNsgHMklBW0

Today, I've finally learn how to add the sound loops. At the top right corner, there are 3 icon. Click on the middle icon that looks like a hoop. In there, there will be A LOT of option for me to choose. Such as the bass sound. There will be more than one hundred options for me to choose. The sound offers me a sound from a fast tempo and a very slow tempo. All today was really about is me exploring about all the different sounds and making some decision of the sound that I could use in this project, and playing my main melody (River Flow in You)
I've started with playing the melody (River Flow in You), trying to find the right tempo and will tell the audience that this music is pop-rock. For the next class, I think that need to work on finding sound loops that will math my genre and fit with my melody. When doing that, I need to be careful about the beat. I need to make sure that I'm not putting random sound in the track

Because GarageBand offers me various of different sound that I could use to remix my song. Since I'm changing from classical to pop rock. I'm looking forward to use more of bass sound or electric guitar sound. Because I've look at some inspiration from previous lesson. I've recognise that there is some sort of beat that is being played through-out the song.

Why have I change from Cannon in D to River Flow in You?

I have changed because I think that Cannon in D is very/ too classical to changed. I think that if I try to remix this song, it would be too hard. In my own opinion, I think that Canon in D is already pretty by it self and I wouldn't want to change it.
Also from research, I've found out that the top popular music genres of the 2016 are pop and rock. That is partly a reason that I've chosen to fusion classic to pop-rock. As I see that a classical music is a relaxing music. It is not always slow, it could also be fast. However, the fast classical music is not always the music that people can dance with. My goal for changing classical to pop-rock is that to maintain the melody of the classic sound but also add a beat to it. People can be listening and and enjoying it in there free time but also the music could be for party and a dance music.

Today I've realized that my main melody (River Flow in You) is not really in with the beat. Because on the Garage Band there's a setting that plays a steady beat for you. It is the metronome icon on the top right corner of the screen. When click on that icon, it plays the beat for you. Also, in the center, there's a bar that shows you what beat are we on right now. I think that the reason for the following is that I have chosen to record the melody the melody first. I didn't pay attention to all the loops? that I will add later. Because I have realized after that the extra sound that I have added after has it's own beat.

Problem that I'm Facing
Problem that I'me facing is that trying to be able to get my classic in to my pop-rock sound loops. Because I play my melody based on the original beat (River Flow in You), instead of maybe trying to change the beat to make it fits with the pop-rock genres.
Solutions to Problem
Since there's a metronome function on the app. I think that I could use that to keep me in beat. Also, I could look at the bar that is located in the upper middle area of the screen. Because that will tell be what bars am I in and what beat of the bar I'm on. I could also change up the tempo of the melody. The melody doesn't always need to be original. Since this is a fusion music, it could be fast or slow depending on the genres that we're changing in to.

Today, I've let Mr. Graham listen to my work. He said that it is not really organized. Basically he is saying that he can't tell what genres am I trying to change in to. He has also mention that I'm not really in beat and I have random loops entering at random, which doesn't really go with my melody. He suggest that I should be looking at the beat tracking bar on in the program. It is located on the upper center of the screen. Because this tool will tell me what bar I'm on and what beat of the bar am I playing. For example, it is a 4/4 for one bar. It will tell be what beat am I on in each bar. But he also said that I've work hard on this project and it is close to being finish. Another thing that he has also mention is that I could change the volume for some track. For example for my main melody (River Flow in You), I can enter with a soft tempo and slowly getting louder.
Do I agree with the feedback or not?
I do agree with the feedback that I have random some entering every at random time, and some of the sound doesn't go with the melody. Before I've made any changes, I have almost 20 sounds. Some of them is a very random sound. Such as a sound that a girl yell out ayah!!. After, I've cut it down, left with 12 sound track.

Today is our second last lesson before the Christmas break. Today, I've continue to work on my piece. As Mr. Graham suggested before, I could have my main melody entering with a soft tempo, then later on getting louder. Something that I've found out today that, my music is already over 2 minutes long. Still today, I have a little struggle trying to keep my melody in beat. I think that the reason is because that I didn't actually know the real beat of the original song (river Flow in You)

Criterion C: You have described in some detail what you did to create your stomp piece and used a range of multimedia in your process journal which is great. There were however a few section where you are lacking detail. In some parts you say what you did in class, like, 'today we worked on the transition section' but gave no detail about the transition or how you created it and worked it out. This needed to be included. You responded to the feedback you were given and used it well and were able to do some analysis of your work at different stages. Well done Warakorn.

How could I improve it?
Since the comment has mention that I need to describe the transition of different sound. In that case, I need to make sure that the different sound is clearly distinguished between each other. So that it would make the transition more clear. I could make the transition better by using the trend line that allow me to control the volume of the that track. Meaning I can control how loud do I want it to be

How have I use elements of music on my fusion music?
Dynamic- I have definitely use the element of dynamic in my music. As I think that this is one of the most element needed in any music. The way that I've use dynamic is that to outline the the climax and to distinguished between the original piece of my classic music and the backing track that helps my to fusion my music with the pop-rock genre. For some of my backing track, I've decide to make it enter the song with low dynamic, then getting louder later, to show that it is getting to the climax point.
Pitch - I have use this element vary often in my work. For an example, such as the Hard Rock Guitar sound. As we all can hear that the Hard Rock guitar is playing the original melody (River Flow in You). Even though it is a Hard Rock guitar, there's still a high pitch as we can hear. (Hard Rock Guitar Sound Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B6DYenHt_NQ) Since most of the people think that a hard rock guitar has a very heavy and loud sound, but it is not. A hard rock guitar doesn't necessary need to. The link that have been attached above is a video of a Hard Rock guitar. In the video, we can see that a rock guitar don't always need to be in a low dynamic.
Melody - I my opinion, I think that this is the most important element of music in this song. The way that I've use melody is that I've used it with my original sound track. Because the is the main melody that is driving the whole song (River Flow in You). It is a classical melody that will infuse in to the pop-rock style.
How I intend to use the music to make audience feel in a certain way?
- I have intend to the audience feel enjoy this song, but at the same time having a relaxing time as well. As time past, the classical music became less popular than before, because most of the song are slow. I've been trying to make the audience feel more connected to the classic music.
What am I trying to communicate?
- I'm trying to say that a classical music is still pretty. Meaning that we all can listen to it. Since some/ most people think that classical music are very slow and they often get very sleepy when listen to it. The purpose of this fusion piece is to communicate that a classical music can be use for different purpose. Such as relaxing, focusing on a certain task, and being able to combine with other style such as pop and rock. It can be listen for an entertaining purpose as well. Like the song that I'm trying to make, the purpose of it is to relax, as well as being able to dance with it.

Ann has demonstrate her understanding of fusion music well. Her work is getting there. Though her transition is a little bit rough. Meaning that her transition is very sudden, it is not as smooth as it could be. The good and interesting about her work is that she has started her music with a traditional Japanese music. Then later, there's a EDM backing that is supporting the Japanese music.. It is goof how the EDM start very softly then later get louder. Something that she could have improve is that making the transition more smooth and use more variety of EDM backing track.

Good: I think that I've reach my goal of turning classical in to pop-rock. BY using an advice from Mr. Graham that I should add a from sound. I've include the element f music. Such as the melody, dynamic and pitch. I've also recognize that these are the must-have element when creating ad making a music piece.

Bad: I think that I need to work on my transition. Because I can hear that my transition is not very smooth. I've also need to make sure that my original melody and my loops are in time. Because I have a few section that I'm not really in beat. In order to help be getting in beat, I could use the the beat counting function on Garage Band to help me being in beat. I've also need to be a little bit more aware of how I'm using the element of music and how have that make my piece better or worst. The most important thing that I need to be aware of is that making sure that I'm not just adding random music loops because it sound nice. I need to think first if that loops match with the genre that I'n changing in to. Because I've spend 1 whole lesson trying to eliminate loops that doesn't sounds like a rock genre.
I would give myself around a 5.
