         <title>Child Labor </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Child labor was at its peak in the Gilded Age. According to "Child Labor Scenario document" a child world work a intense 8 hour shift for only 10 cents a day. Their were no work benefits and if a child were to lose a limb during the job they would be replaced and kicked out of the factory in a heartbeat.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Any immigrant entering the country during the gilded age were prone to discrimination, and harassment. If they managed to get a job, the majority of the time it would be unskilled labor at a factory. Where wages would be low and hours would be high.&nbsp; According to "Immigration in the Gilded Age" powerpoint, immigrants were taken advantage of by their landlords too. It was common for them to charge more than the appartment was worth. &nbsp;</div>]]></description>

They did everything from boycott, write to the president, and also fast. According to first hand accounts, some women entered the senate chamber and yelled in protest. </div>]]></description>

According to the "Business Outcomes" document he controlled the entire industry and he was able to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on new machinery without a sweat. According to a powerpoint on google classroom, Carnegie controlled around 70%&nbsp;of the steel industry. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>They were treated well until their skill labor was made unskilled. The factory owners viewed their employees as walking dollar signs. For example, companies would hire Frederick Taylor to change a skilled labor to unskilled one. And this was his 2nd step was ¨Possible brainwork should be removed from the shop and centered in the planning or laying out department.¨ He was trying to remove skilled workers and hire more unskilled workers to maximize profit.<br><br></div>]]></description>
