         <title>What I learned about sound</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In science I learned that molecules are closer together in solids like metal, and they are farther apart in air, so sound travels best through solids. I also learned that an echo is produced when sound bounces or reflects off an object. Another thing I learned is there are no sounds in space. I also learned that light travels faster than sound. Another thing I learned in science is that if you pull a rubber band tight around a box it makes different pitches. Also I learned that if you have a few glasses of water with different amounts of water in each glass, then  you take a spoon and tap every glass , there are different pitches, the glass with the least amount of water will have the highest pitch, and the glass with the most amount of water will have the lowest pitch. Another thing I learned is that when you take a straw and cut it into different lengths then blow on the edge of them, they will have different pitches. Another thing I learned is that you can see light in the air and not sound.</div>]]></description>

         <title>I learned lots of things about sound.First of all I learned that sound travels faster through solids than through liquids or gases.I also learned that you can not hear sound in space.Another thing I learned about sound is how an echo is produced.I also learned what level of decibels can cause hearing damage. Another thing I learned is that light is faster than sound.I also learned that vibrations must occur to produce sound.I learned that a cup with now water will have a higher pitch when you tap it than a cup that is full of water.Also, last but not least I learned that when using cup phones it is easier to hear the sound from the other end if the string is pulled tight  than if the string is lose.I learned lots of things about sound IN sicence class.</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>What I learned about sound  was that sound travels best through solids instead of air because the molecules in air are closer together in solids than in air. Also, a higher frequency makes a higher pitch. Sound can never travel faster than light. I learned that sound can´t go through space. An echo is made when a sound bounces or reflects off an object. An object has to vibrate to make a sound. In a lower frequency wave,  the  waves are more far apart and in a higher frequency wave, the waves are closer together. The last thing is that sound is measured by decibels, or dB.</div>]]></description>

If you put different sized rubber bands around a box the tighter the band the higher the pitch.10. If you put 1/4 of water in a cup it makes a high pitch sound and if you fill a cup with water all the way the pitch is lower.</div>]]></description>

That sound travel in waves.Sound can damage you ears if you are exposed to  it to long. When you put a lot off water in a cup it would make a low pitch.          <description><![CDATA[<div>I learned that sound travels best through solids. I also learned that you can use a cup telephone to talk to each other. It only works when the string, or wire is tight. I also learned that when a rubber band is tight it makes a low sound. When you have four containers exactly the same size and have different amounts of water in them, the one with the less water in makes a higher sound and the one with most water in makes a lower sound. I also learned about&nbsp; pitch pipes. The smallest straw made a&nbsp; higher, and biggest one made a&nbsp;low sound. The pitch pipe activity was realy fun. It was the best!</div>]]></description>

I also learned that if you lean a solar panel against a wall you will get more power than flat on the ground.If you where a black shirt on a hot day you will get hotter because black absorbs heat but if you where a white shirt on a hot day you will be cooler because white reflects all heat.If you hit a drum harder it will have a high volume.&nbsp;The last thing is that if you pluck a guitar string and it vibrates it will cause sound.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I learned that sound travels through a medium, it travels best through solids. Another thing I learned is that sound can not travel through space because there is no medium for it to pass through. I also learned that the volume doesn't change the pitch of a sound. Also another thing I learned is if you listen to a sound over 80 decibels it can damage your ears and 20 decibels is people whispering. I learned that if you make phones out of cups,if the wire is tight you get a higher sound and it is lose you get a lower sound.I also learned that if you fill glass cups with water the cup with the least amount of water would have the highest pitch and the cup with more water would have a lower pitch. Another thing I learned is that if you make a pitch pipe out of straws the smallest straw has the highest pitch and the longest straw has a lower pitch. Also another thing I learned is if you put rubber bands around a box the tightest rubber band has the higher pitch and the loose rubber&nbsp;band had the lower pitch.</div>]]></description>
