■ Show good manners when seeking knowledge so that it becomes easier for us to receive it.

■ Knowledge belongs to Allah. If we show good manners, inshaAllah, Allah will help us.

■ It’s permissible to joke with teachers as long as it doesn’t go beyond limits.

● Al-Quran

■ Always practice reading the Quran.

■ The Quran will help us in both the hereafter and in this world.

■ Allah blesses those who read the Quran.

■ Proof that the Quran is a guide:

1. Miracle: Strengthens its reader and weakens its enemies.

- Example: The story of Prophet Musa fighting the magicians of Pharaoh, where Musa’s miracle overcame the magic revered by the people of that time.

- Example: During the time of Prophet Muhammad, the Arabs highly revered poets and poetry. They were astonished by the magnificence and eloquence of the Quran’s language.

- Example: The discovery of iron (Fe), mentioned in the Quran in the chapter of Al-Hadid (Iron), describing the descent of iron to Earth.

- Example: The creation of humans from seed to baby is detailed in Surah Al-Mu’minun, which explains in detail the stages of human creation.

● Rulings on Mistakes in Recitation During Prayer

■ The ruling on learning Tajweed: Fard Kifayah (a collective duty).

■ The ruling on practicing Tajweed: Obligatory (Wajib).

■ Known as the “Mother of all Hadiths.”

■ Jibril appeared in the form of a human at the Prophet’s mosque and approached the Prophet Muhammad, who was sitting with his companions.

■ Jibril asked the Prophet Muhammad:

a. Tell me about Islam (Pillars of Islam).

b. Tell me about Iman (Pillars of Faith).

c. Tell me about Ihsan.

d. Tell me about time (the Day of Judgment).

e. Explain the signs of the Day of Judgment:

1. A woman will give birth to her master.

2. The Arabs will compete in constructing tall buildings.

■ The Prophet Muhammad informed Umar that the man asking these questions was the angel Jibril.

■ From this hadith, scholars have deduced that there are “3 stages” to achieving Allah’s pleasure:

1. Islam – Forcing oneself to fulfill all obligations.

2. Iman – Believing in everything that is obligatory to believe in.

3. Ihsan – Striving for excellence in worship (left incomplete in the original summary).

■ Islam is a religion that encompasses all aspects of both the worldly life and the hereafter.

■ The rules set by Allah are for the benefit of humanity in both this world and the next.

■ Fasting is an act of worship meant to bring one closer to Allah.

■ Manners in learning as shown by the angel Jibril:

a. Wear neat clothing.

b. Always seek permission.

c. Stay close to the source of knowledge.

d. Do not be afraid to ask questions.

e. If you do not know something, be honest about it.

● The things we believe in and hold firmly to.

● Islam is the only religion that comes with proof of its truth.

a. The concept of the Trinity in Christianity is confusing and lacks evidence.

● Belief in Allah

a. Hold firmly to all of Allah’s attributes and names.

b. Believe in Allah’s power.

● Wrong Ways of Believing in Allah

a. Having intermediaries between humans and Allah.

b. Seeking forgiveness (istighfar) without feeling any regret.

● Belief in Angels

a. Hold firmly to the belief in angels.

b. Angels do not have desires.

c. Angels carry out all commands given by Allah.

● Wrong Ways of Believing in Angels

a. Praying to angels.

● Belief in the Scriptures

a. Believe in all the scriptures that were revealed to mankind.

b. The Quran is the most perfect scripture, with no room for improvement.

c. Previous scriptures were revealed to improve upon their predecessors.

■ In the past, repentance sometimes required people to take their own lives, as mentioned in earlier scriptures.

● Belief in the Prophets

■ Proof of Prophethood

a. They were given miracles.

1. Story of Banu Thaqif (Ta’if tribe)

a. The Prophet Muhammad was rejected when he went to the village of Banu Thaqif.

b. He was pelted with stones and filth.

c. However, the Prophet did not retaliate against their actions.

● Belief in the Day of Judgment

■ We must always be prepared with many good deeds.

■ There’s no need to be overly obsessed with theories and conspiracies.

● Belief in Qada’ and Qadar (Divine Decree)

■ Allah has predetermined our journey in this world.

■ Believe in the destiny that Allah has decreed, for He knows everything.

■ “Dua is the weapon of a believer.”

■ CONTOH : Kisah Nabi Nuh

a. Berdakwah Selama 900+ Tahun Namun Hanya 80 Orang Yang Beriman

b. Terdapat Ulama Yang Berpendapat Zaman Nabi Nuh Merupakan Zaman Yang lebih Maju Berbanding zaman Sekarang

c. Sikap Sombong Umat Nabi Nuh Dahulu Berakibat Daripada Hal ini

d. Nabi Nuh Memanggil Anaknya Berkali kali Untuk Bersama dengannya menaiki kapal tetapi anaknya menolak (surah hud)

a. Maintain good manners even if parents do not exhibit good character.

b. Frequently mentioned in the Quran.

c. Allah’s pleasure depends on the pleasure of parents, and His anger depends on their anger.

■ Example:

1. **The Story of Uwais Al-Qarni**

a. Sacrificed his time and energy to care for his elderly mother.

b. His status is said to be very high by Prophet Muhammad due to his dedication in caring for and honoring his mother.

● Etiquette with Neighbors

a. Be courteous to those around us.

b. Maintain peace and harmony within the community.

c. Human relationships (Habluminannas).

d. Neighbors can help take care of one another.

e. What happens if we are not courteous:

1. The community will not be peaceful.

2. A generation lacking respect will emerge.

3. Crime will become widespread.

4. The community will not prosper or progress.

■ Example:

1. **The Story of Prophet Muhammad and His Jewish Neighbor**

a. The Prophet had a neighbor who regularly placed dirt and garbage in front of his house.

b. One day, the Prophet noticed that no trash had been placed outside his home.

c. He inquired with the locals and learned that the neighbor was ill.

d. The Prophet quickly went to visit him and inquire about his health.

e. This act of kindness deeply touched the neighbor, who felt ashamed of his past behavior.

f. The neighbor eventually apologized to the Prophet and praised his patience.

● Etiquette with Friends

a. Helps expand one’s network with others.

b. Eases future dealings.

■ Example:

1. **The Story of Prophet Muhammad and Sayyidina Ali**

a. The Prophet invited Sayyidina Ali to share a meal.

b. At that time, the Prophet had only one date.

c. When the Prophet offered the date to Ali, Ali declined, preferring to let the Prophet have it.

d. However, the Prophet also declined, wanting Ali to take it first.

e. In the end, the Prophet decided to split the date in half.

f. The Prophet took a small portion, while Ali took the larger portion.

1. Taaruf (Getting to Know Each Other)

purpose:Helps build good relationships

2. Tafahum (Understanding)

Purpose: Important for harmony and trust in relationships.

3. Ta'awun (Helping Each Other) &

Takaful (Solidarity)

4. Niyah (Intention)

Meaning: Having a sincere intention behind every action.

5. Amal (Good Actions)

Meaning: Actions or deeds.

6. Ihsan (Excellence in Everything)

Meaning: Doing things in the best way with sincerity.

(Wisdom in Worship)

Meaning of Ibadah

Ibadah refers to all actions done sincerely to seek Allah pleasure. It includes obligatory rituals like solat, fasting, zakat, and hajj, as well as daily actions aligned with Islamic values. It shapes a Muslim character and strengthens their faith.

Khushu refers to humility, concentration, and sincerity in worship, particularly in salah (prayer). It is a state where the heart is fully present, aware of standing before Allah

Pillars of iman

1. Forgiveness of Sins

The Prophet (PBUH) said: When a Muslim performs wudu properly and prays two rakâahs with full concentration, his past sins will be forgiven. (Bukhari, Muslim)

2. Inner Peace & Tranquility

Salah with khusyuk brings

calmness and relief from stress and worries, as mentioned in Surah Ar-Rad (13:28): Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest.

3. Increased Rewards

A prayer performed with full devotion is more valuable and rewarded than a heedless one.

4. Protection from Evil & Sin

Surah Al-Ankabut (29:45): Indeed, prayer prevents immorality and wrongdoing

5.Stronger Connection with Allah Salah with khusyuk strengthens iman (faith) and deepens ones relationship with Allah.

6.Higher Rank in Jannah

The Prophet (PBUH) said: The closest a servant is to his Lord is when he is in sujood. (Muslim)

7. Success in Both Worlds Surah Al-Muminun (23:1-2):

Successful indeed are the believers those who humble themselves in their prayer.

The Concept of sawm (Fasting)

Fasting is a divine command that nurtures taqwa. It requires abstaining from food, drink, and desires from dawn to sunset, redirecting focus toward Allah.

Beyond physical restraint, fasting promotes spiritual growth, gratitude, and self-discipline. The Quran allows exemptions for the sick and

travelers, showing Islamiccompassion.

Virtues of Fasting

1. (Patience)

Fasting builds patience by teaching self-control and endurance. It strengthens reliance on Allah and prepares individuals to face challenges with resilience.

2. (Compassion & Empathy)

Experiencing hunger fosters empathy for the less fortunate, encouraging generosity and charity. It strengthens community bonds

through shared worship and mutual care.

Zakah (obligatory almsgiving) and Sadagah (voluntary charity) are integral aspects of Islamic teachings that emphasize purifying wealth and helping others. These acts are not only financial obligations but spiritual practices that enrich the giver and the receiver.

Tadhiyyah (sacrifice) is a fundamental aspect of Hajj, symbolizing devotion, submission, and gratitude to Allah.

The act of sacrificing an animal during Eid al-Adha, known as Qurbani, commemorates Prophet Ibrahim's willingness to sacrifice his son in obedience to Allah's command.

This sacrifice reflects the essence of

Hajj, which is about surrendering one's desires and ego for the sake of Allah. Just as pilgrims sacrifice animals, they also sacrifice their comfort, wealth, and time to complete the sacred journey. The spiritual essence of Tadhiyyah in Hajj teaches believers to let go of worldly attachments and dedicate themselves fully to Allah's will.
