The Olympians are twelve greek gods regarded as living on Mount Olympus (Google definition). The greatest and most powerful of them all is Zeus. Zeus is the king of all gods. Zeus is known for his bad temper, which makes him callow (immature) in some instances. For example, when Zeus found out that humans were eating each other, he decided to wipe out the entire human race. He did that with the great flood. There were only two survivors. 

      People from ancient times accoladed (praised) him and made him statues and sacrifices in his honor. Zeus is represented by an eagle, and his weapons are the thunderbolt and the scepter. He controls rain, thunder, fate , law, and order (History Channel Documentary, Greek Mythology).
