  • Find an object in your environment that represents a quality of a good workshop.

  • Select the plus sign on this board to create a new post.

  • For the subject, type the name of the object.

  • Select the camera icon to take a picture of the object or the image search icon to find an online image instead.

  • Click on the "Alt" button in the corner of the photo to add alt text and save it.

  • In the description field, explain what the object represents.

  • Select the Publish button to add your post to the board.

  • "Like" or comment on other people's posts if you wish.

Like a candle, we are ready and made to be lit up, but we need a spark and the right conditions to make it so. And, as my candle shows, it can be lit many, many times.

And I think that is at the heart of effective facilitation—a deep awareness of how your brain/heart/body affects others and making choices with that in mind. (Also, I am sitting in the lobby of our Health Sciences college and not my office so I had very little to work with! 😆)

Each workshop has different sections, which ideally have an estimated time. Giving participants a clear timeframe helps with pacing the learning and engagement. It also allows participants to manage their tasks and attention.
