As a librarian, I have much more room to provide content and resources to teachers and students.

I am also an employee monitor to student led clubs. I have helped with our GSA (Gender & Sexuality Alliance), the Enough Is Enough (Female Empowerment Club), and Student Activism Club in the past.

I am coming from CT and am fortunate to be in a progressive public system in a town which is diverse in every way. That being said, we still get pushback from various corners which seem to be growing in their volume and volatility. I teach all seniors and, specifically, teach a writing and studio course in conjunction with the University of Connecticut which allows me a much wider cut of materials and topics. It is a dream course with remarkable humans who generally want to see the world stop going backwards in time. My goal is to constantly bring them more through learning as much as possible and collaborating with other fabulous people who can help me grow as a human being and educator. And also, while I'm lucky enough to work in a place that doesn't censor my lessons, these last several years have created a problem with some students themselves not being willing to accept actual facts as, well.....actual facts.
