Did Brett Kavanaugh lie about his excessive drinking in College?

I thought it was really interesting how a woman who did know Kavanaugh in college came forward to fact check him and prove that his Fox News statement was a lie about excessive drinking. Obviously, we don't know if this woman is credible but why would she lie when it would be easy to check Yales class records and see if they were classmates and people could easily prove she's a random person if she was lying. But I'm curious why Kavanaugh didn't think twice about what he had said in the interview? It would be so easy for people (like the woman did) to come forward and be like, "yo dude are you kidding you got smashed all the time?". I thought this article was pretty well written for the woman to explain and place her side of the truth into the whole equation. But honestly, anyone could lie so who really knows nowadays.

Question- Many people have strong opinions about this whole situation, do you think the writer let their opinion show through in the article? Do you think the writer of the article was biased with the information?
