Regarding the module Creativity and Play with Children, I found that many of the games introduced were quite simple—most of which I had already played during my childhood. As a postgraduate-level course, I believe it should focus more on sharing and teaching theories related to creativity and imagination, or explore how we can enhance our own creative and imaginative thinking. These are core skills that have broader applicability beyond just working with children. In contrast, simply playing basic games may not be directly relevant or useful to every postgraduate student’s future professional context. Creative thinking, in my view, is a crucial ability that should be nurtured at all stages of life.

for the Family Relationships module, I found the content quite abstract and difficult to follow—not necessarily because the concepts themselves were too complex, but rather due to the way the material was delivered. The teaching lacked a coherent structure, and key concepts were not systematically linked to core theories throughout the module. As a result, the learning experience felt fragmented and confusing. Additionally, the assessment criteria for the module were not clearly communicated. There was a lack of clarity around the expectations, and the explanations provided for the assignment requirements were vague. This made it challenging to evaluate and engage with the module effectively.

Strength: lots of child friendly methods

Weaknesses: the whole module was pro-personal life rather than other approaches + the assessment was not clear till the end

Development: a random imaginary child biography that is ready and given to the students in advance

Strength: lots of new games to be used in the classroom

Weakness: the link to marking and grades is missing + it’s all about theorizing and taking the knowledge of students but it won’t be used in subjects that are meant to be taught

The supervisors don’t give same effort to the students some students get lots of feedback and others don’t get it , for example, another supervisor read more than 6000 words
