Monday: Students must being their laptops fully charged. District i-Ready Diagnostic Assessment *This will provide the Lexile reading level for each student. Students will complete independent lessons throughout the week during class and monitor their progress.
Tuesday: "Skills" Writing Sample from Friday due. Introduction to Unit 1 Generations in the My Perspectives workbook. Summary p. 8 My Perspectives due tomorrow.
Wednesday: Continue with introduction to Unit 1. Students will have the opportunity to get a Nonfiction book from the library at their Lexile Level for the September Book Reflection they will receive this week. The selection must be aprroved by a parent and me. This is due Aug. 30.
Thursday and Friday: My Perspectives story Two Kinds.
Comprehension Questions p. 25 due by end of class on Friday.

I am so proud of the Patriotic Speech Presentations; they all did a great job!

Each student received a February Reading Log on Jan. 24. Students need to have a Fictional book within their Lexile Level Range or grade level score according to their 2^nd i-Ready Diagnostic . The book and parent signature are due Feb. 5^th; it is posted in StudentVUE as well.

i-Ready lessons will begin Feb. 1. Students should NOT be completing these at home. They should be using the class time given during Bellwork or rotations. Each student received a 3^rd Quarter tracking sheet this past Wednesday.

We will be starting Unit 4 People and the Planet in My Perspectives.

Daily assignments can be accessed through StudentVUE; they have been posted since the beginning of the year.

Hoot chapters 11-21 Comprehension Test on Monday.

Three i-Ready lessons are due this week on Friday, along with the 4^th Quarter Tracking Sheet. Fifteen lessons should be completed from March 11^th-May 3^rd. Students should have been using their ELT, RTI, and class time; these were not meant to be completed as homework.

We will be revisiting the My Perspectives workbook.
