瑞典北部城市基律納8月26日發生一宗大規模蘑菇中毒事件，8名來自中國的自駕旅行團遊客，在當地採摘並食用野生蘑菇後出現明顯中毒症狀，被緊急送往基律納醫院救治。院方在評估情況後，啟動危機應變模式，並將部份患者轉送至區內其他醫院。

基律納醫院急診科主任海倫娜·弗雷德里克松·奧格倫表示：「接收如此大規模的蘑菇中毒群體非常罕見，我從未遇到過類似情況。」院方解釋，該市醫院僅有18張病床，突如其來的8名急診病人已接近承載極限，醫護必須立即調配內部資源，必要時尋求其他城市醫院協助。

防護中心提醒市民，由於難以辨別菇類是否適宜食用，切勿採摘野生菇類進食。進食菇類引致的食物中毒一般為急性，病徵通常包括進食後短時間內出現噁心、嘔吐和腹痛等腸道徵狀。因應不同的菇種，病人亦可能出現如大量流汗、幻覺、昏迷或其他神經系統病徵和肝衰竭，嚴重者更可能引致死亡。

如懷疑因進食菇類引致食物中毒，病人應立即求醫。如有剩餘菇菌，亦應帶同前往求醫，以供辨識種類。
