Presentation Components

Each student or group should present their Production Packet with the following key elements:

1. Compelling Story Hook

• Clearly explain the central theme of your documentary.

• Answer: Why does this story matter?

• Make it engaging—use a brief anecdote, a question, or a powerful statement.

  
  

2. Visual & Technical Plan

• Describe your mood board, shot list, and aesthetic choices.

• How will your camera work, lighting, and color choices enhance the story?

• Mention any special filming techniques or equipment (e.g., drone, handheld, B-roll strategy).

  
  

3. Interview Strategy

• Who will you be interviewing, and why?

• How will the interviews drive the narrative and emotional depth?

• What techniques will you use to make the subject comfortable and capture natural, compelling responses?

  
  

4. Team Roles & Execution Plan

• Outline who is responsible for filming, editing, sound, research, and directing.

• How will you stay organized and meet deadlines?

• What are your next steps after today’s session?

  
  

Uploading to Padlet Using the QR Code

1. Scan the QR Code with your phone or tablet.

2. Click on the Padlet link that appears.

3. Tap “+” or “Add Post” to upload your production packet summary.

4. Add a title (your documentary’s working title).

5. In the description, include a brief summary of your project.

6. Attach any relevant files, images, or links.
