<title>Don&#39;t tell them everything. Give them a trigger to entice them and make them hungry for more. Hence, the crafting and choice of trigger is important, it has to appeal to the specific profile of your students. Once they want to know more, half the battle is won. I think the most difficult part is to craft a conceptually oriented lesson. This requires a lot of thoughtful thinking and perceptive noticing of the deeper concepts (or the BIG ideas) behind the procedural steps. This part is often compromised because our existing assessment structures could not completely assess for deep conceptual understanding. And it takes runway to shift an assessment system which also serve many purposes. But I think the new 2020 syllabus is a good start.</title>

<title>Listen to students&#39; feedback and suggestion as to how best they feel they learn. Often, they prefer to be spoonfed and be a back bencher. Discuss and explain to them, guide them step-by-step to be independent learners who co-create knowledge with teachers.</title>
