Explain The Relationship Between Bee Population And Crop Poduction.

Bees play an important part in agriculture. They pollinate crops and increase yields, and give rise to a lucrative honey industry. (They supply us with honey.) Many fruits and vegetables require bees to pollinate them. Without pollinators these crops would disappear and pretty much go extinct. So pretty much without bees we wouldn't have agriculture, and we would probably go extinct as well without bees.

The importance of bees is to pollinate the flowers. Farmers depend on bees to help grow there crops and profit. Bees help reproduce to plants and without bees we wouldn't have any food. Such as in Europe bees pollinate 80% of the wildflowers living there, and for the world bees pollinate about 70% of 100 crop species. Which means bees feed around 90% of the world! Therefore if bees went extinct we would only be able to live for 4 years.

Cause Of The Decline Of Insect pollinators.

The main causes in pollinators to decline is the intensive use of Argo-chemicals which includes pesticides that may have a big impact on all the pollinators. Some scientist's believe that parasitic mites and diseases may be a potential cause in pollinators decline. Another reason is that the pollinators food is disappearing rapidly. Climate change is another big factor. Climate change is when the average climate changes, such as is it's usually snowing and for some odd reason it becomes hot. (This may also be due to global warming)

Bees are pollinators like the butterfly's, humming birds, etc. Pollinators help flowers/crops/plants grow. Bees help protect the plants and 35 percent of global agricultural land, supporting the production of 87 of the leading food crops worldwide. Agriculture is important to our society because it's one of the most important food resources of the world.

It's divided into 2 parts called the anther and the filament. The other produces pollen grains that contain the sperm needed to fertilize. The plants use the pollinators to transfer the male gametes to the female ovules. This is called pollination. The female gametophyte(s) grows into a fruit which usually surrounds the seeds. Therefore plants use pollinators to reproduce because they can't move.

Photosynthesis is where plant's make the energy from the sun for food for growth kind of like We eat food for energy and plants make their own food through photosynthesis. The sugars the plants make with photosynthesis mixes with oxygen to give the plant energy, this process is called respiration. Transpiration is the plants moisture leaving through it's leaves like human sweat.

Some plants survival techniques are that plants will have longer roots to get water, and plants in the desert have special leaves and store water. The function of a male flowering parts is to produce pollen grains. The male part is called the stamen. When the ovary becomes a fruit the wall that the ovary uses called the pericarp protects the devolving seed inside it. This plays an important role in the seeds dispersal. This process is produced by the seeds auxin.

Different plants act different ways when there environment changes. Usually the response of an organism to an environment is called tropism. All living plants respond to stimuli in their environment. Plants roots grow towards the gravity, while the plants leaves and stems grow towards the sun. Like animals/humans plants can adapt to their surroundings. There is negative tropism and positive tropism. Positive tropism is when a plant goes/grows torward the sun. Negative tropism is when the plants grows away from the sun.
