Is there anything the CMO CTE team can do to help the campuses with their exhibitions?

For CTE month, is it feasible to have MYP CTE grade level, scholar experiences such as field trips? Maybe 8th graders sit in on either Computer Science or Digital Communications during a class period? Or try to arrange a field trip to Dr. Phil each February? Something that as kids advance vertically, they have something to look forward to that the scholars pass down to those coming up...

Education isn't seen in industry as career readiness, which is only something that comes with hands-on experience. Focusing the brand on the state lingo might miss industry partners. Career Development is included but we should try to make the audience have to guess. I would think about promoting the outcome vs the Service. People come to uplift for IB and want Career Development. CTE is the designation not the outcome.

Reminder: Campuses have their own CTE funds that can be used for career trips aligned to programs of study! While the CEE team at CMO may not be able to fund every trip idea a campus has, we're happy to advise or pass along opportunities for a campus to use their own funds.
