Denial

As the first stage of grief, denial is the active act of refusing to accept or acknowledge the death of something somebody cares about. Often, they just go about their life as if the thing//pperson is still here; and refuse to give in to their feelings.

Anger

Anger, the second stage, is when somebody blames something/someone, whether it be themselves, the deceased, or an external person/force. This often happens after they understand the information revolving the loss.

Bargaining

Bargaining, the third stage, is when a person attempts to negotiate or make compromises with themselves or a higher power to result in the outcome they are looking for. Often, this stage is seen as irrational as making compromises for what is lost is frequently not feasible.

Depression

The feelings of sadness and harsh emotions that often come with loss are inevitable, and by either outsourcing them or ignoring them in the earlier stages; this stage comes when there is full realization and understanding of what has occurred.

Acceptance

Acceptance, the final stage of grief, is when the one suffering the loss is no longer looking back to recover their life with the dead. Often it takes a prolonged period of time to reach this feeling of closure.
