They decided to track their daily sales to see if there was a pattern. At the beginning when they have not opened, they sold 10 cups of lemonade to their family members. On the first day of the opening , they sold 35 cups. On the third day, they sold 60 cups. The fourth day brought 85 cups sold, and on the fifth day, they reached 110 cups sold.


    Sam and Emily noticed that their sales were increasing by 25 cups each day. It was a simple, linear relationship: for each day they were open, they sold 25 more cups than the previous day. Hence, the x-axis represents the number of days, the y-axis represents the number of lemonade cups they have sold.


    Their lemonade stand became a neighborhood favorite, and they continued to use their linear relationship to predict their sales, ensuring they always had enough lemonade to serve their thirsty customers.
